How does a local Somalian make it big? By genuinely making people smile. Jama Elmi, a native of Somalia, social worker, and West London resident, embarked on a unique journey to spread joy.
Recognised by The Guardian as London’s Best-Dressed Man, Jama is now known as the city’s most colourful personality. With a collection of over 80 custom-tailored suits in a dazzling array of colors and fabrics, he’s built a reputation not just for his style, but for his mission to brighten people’s days, one smile
at a time.
From sidewalk of Notting Hill to now locally recognised as Notting Hills best dress man, Jama is often seen around the iconic Portobello Road, spreading his unrivalled energy to everyone, through his vibrant nature and a touch of retail therapy. Jama perfectly embodies Notting Hill's and Portobello vibrant scene, a gathering place for tourist, fashion icons, street market stalls, galleries, restaurants, independent boutiques, hotels, furniture shops, buzzing nightlife and trendsetters, who flock to Notting Hill to showcase their individuality.
The images were also part an well attended exhibition at The Muse gallery, on Portobello Road, West London, where framed and signed prints were available for purchase @info@jeancazals.net
